For Kate's birthday I made her a dress and a matching one for her doll.
I used a RTW dress of hers and drafted a pattern. The bodice turned out too narrow at the neck though -- I would have to alter if if I made it again.
I have a few basic doll T-shirt patterns and used one of those, minus the sleeves, plus a full gathered skirt, for her doll's dress. They turned out cute, but the fabric is on the stiff and scratchy side. She was pretty thrilled about it!
